Fair of Innovative Developments "Automation and Technologies in Mechanical Engineering and Instrumentation" (April 18, 2024, Minsk)

On April 18, 2024, the Innovation Development Fair "Automation and Technologies in Mechanical Engineering and Instrument Engineering" was held in Minsk. It was organized by the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Institute of Systems Analysis and Information Support of Scientific and Technical Sphere in order to ensure compliance with the norms of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated February 4, 2013 No. 59 "On the commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities created at the expense of public funds."
Deputy Director for International Scientific and Innovative Work, PhD in Biology Olga Valeryevna Khvostova addressed the participants with welcoming words. She noted that the task of strengthening the integration of industry with science, developing high-tech industries, and the production of computing, electronic and optical equipment was set by the President of the Republic of Belarus. Domestic scientists make a significant contribution to the development of mechanical engineering and instrument making within the framework of the implementation of state scientific research programs, state scientific and technical and other programs. Of particular importance in the current conditions is the implementation of the programs of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, joint import-substituting projects that create the basis for technological sovereignty and economic security.
24 promising developments were presented by institutions and enterprises of the Ministry of Education (Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian-Russian University, Brest State Technical University, Gomel State Technical University named after P.O. Sukhoi, Grodno State University named after Yanka Kupala), the Ministry of Industry (JSC MZOR), the National Academy of Sciences (OPTRON Instrument-Making Plant, Institute of Metal Technology) and JSC SPETSTEPLOBEL.
The manufacturing enterprises showed particular interest in the innovative developments "Lighting device for creating a favorable lighting environment in a car" and "Information, methodological and metrological support for digital image colorimetry methods" (BNTU), “Semi-automatic vertical six-spindle lathe with CNC" (LLC "MZOR"), "Airless wheel" and "Electric machines with magnetic cores based on encapsulated soft magnetic powders" (JSC "OPTRON Instrument-making Plant"), "Innovative heat exchangers and cooling systems for internal combustion engines and diesel generator sets" (LLC "SPETSTEPLOBEL"), "Mobile recorder of welding processes" and "Arc welding technology for high-strength steels sensitive to hydrogen embrittlement" (Belarusian-Russian University), "New complex-alloyed ferromagnetic materials based on metal waste for finishing magnetic-abrasive treatment of difficult-to-machine materials" (Gomel State Technical University named after P.O. Sukhoi), "Multifunctional additives based on graphene-like structures and fluorine-containing compounds for oils and plastic lubricants for the creation of import-substituting products" (Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno).
