Belarus — China: Competition of flagship scientific and technical projects for 2025-2026 announced

The State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China are holding a competition of flagship scientific and technical projects for 2025-2026 in the following areas:

information and communication technologies;

advanced manufacturing technologies;

new materials.

Based on the results of the competition, it is planned to select 3 large-scale joint projects, the results of which should be the creation of advanced technologies and the organization of joint ventures or industrial technology centers based on them.

Submitted projects must meet the requirements of the Regulation on international scientific and technical projects carried out within the framework of international treaties of the Republic of Belarus, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated August 13, 2003 No. 1065.

To participate in the competition, it is necessary to fill out the forms established by the organizers and send them electronically with a cover letter from the state customer of the project to the State Committee on Science and Technology via the IAS "Expertise".

Taking into account the specifics of the competition, the application must contain:

a business plan prepared in accordance with the established procedure;

written commitments from the government customer and/or other interested parties regarding the practical use of the research and development results obtained during the implementation of the project;

written commitments from the government customer and/or other interested parties to participate in the financing of project costs in the amount of at least 50 percent of the total amount of funds planned for these purposes;

a copy of the cooperation agreement with a foreign partner organization;

departmental examination report.

Projects for the competition are accepted until November 20, 2024. Detailed information about the competition is posted on the SCST website in the International Cooperation section.
