The International Exhibition "Vietnam Expo" was held from December 7 to 9, 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City.

On December 7, the official opening ceremonies of the exhibition and the Belarusian exposition took place. From the Belarusian side, the opening of the exposition was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs E.A. Shestakov, Director of the RUE "National Center for Marketing and Price Study" N.N. Borisevich and Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City R.N. Voronkov, from the Vietnamese side — Vice President of the company "VINEXAD", Deputy Director General of the Department of Asian and African Markets of the Ministry of Industry and Trade To Ngoc Son.

On December 7, the Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum was held as part of the exhibition. The forum was organized by the National Center for Marketing and Price Study, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade), and the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City.

The organizer of the collective section of scientific and technical developments was the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, and the exhibition operator was the state institution "Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support of the Scientific and Technical Sphere".

The collective section was represented by developments of institutions of the Ministry of Education, organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Ministry of Industry and entities of the innovation infrastructure, which demonstrated more than 50 scientific, technical and innovative developments.

Among the developments of scientists from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were presented:

Reagents, Clinical Laboratory Research Reagents: Freeze-dried Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Nucleic Acid Detection Kit (Fluorescence PCR Method). It is a Taqman® RT-PCR Assay System based on multiple fluorescent probes. Specific primers and probe are designed to detect the ORF1ab and N genes of 2019-nCoV, respectively. An internal control serves to confirm successful extraction and to detect possible PCR inhibition for the entire testing system to prevent false negative results. The kit is a pre-mixed lyophilized system that includes the materials required for the detection of 2019-nCoV: reverse transcriptase, nucleic acid amplification enzyme, reaction buffer, specific primer, and probe. RNA of extracted samples can be directly detected by RT-PCR after re-dissolution of lyophilized powder (Unitary Enterprise "Self-supporting pilot production of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus");

rapid test for detection of nucleocapsid antigen of SARS-CoV-2 virus and antigens of influenza A and B viruses by immunochromatographic analysis: rapid test SARS CoV-2-Influenza-A/B-Antigen. It is a combined rapid test for rapid and high-quality detection of nucleocapsid antigen of SARS-CoV-2 virus, influenza A virus and influenza B virus in nasopharyngeal and nasal swab samples taken from individuals with suspected COVID-19 or influenza during the acute phase of the disease. The rapid test provides an opportunity to obtain preliminary data in the diagnosis of infection with the new coronavirus. The test can be performed within 15 minutes without the use of laboratory equipment. Positive results indicate the presence of viral antigens, but to determine the status of the infection, it is necessary to compare with other clinical data of the patient and other diagnostic information. Positive results do not exclude bacterial infection or co-infection with other viruses (Unitary Enterprise "Self-supporting pilot production of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus").

At the exhibition, NPO Center, an open joint-stock company, presented crushing systems for producing high-quality cement and technologies for producing narrow-fraction cubic crushed stone for the construction of highways and high-speed railways.

The technology of grinding Portland cement clinker in grinding complexes, which has no analogues in the world, ensures the production of cements of grades PC400 and PC500 according to GOST 10178-85 with lower energy consumption compared to grinding in a ball mill, which allows to significantly reduce the cost of the produced material.

The technology for obtaining narrow-fraction cubic crushed stone allows to improve the processing of metal materials (steels, cast irons, titanium alloys), to increase wear resistance, durability of parts made of case-hardened, improved, low— and medium-alloy steels, cutting and stamping tools, casting equipment, including internal surfaces.

Scientists from Belarusian universities will also present a number of developments to visitors, including:

antitumor drugs "Temodex", "Prospidelong", "Cisplacel" for local chemotherapy. Bioresorbable antitumor drugs are intended for local chemotherapy of malignant neoplasms of the brain, spine and tumors of the head and neck by implantation in the bed of the removed tumor. "Cisplacel" is unique compared to the existing analogue — the drug "Gliadel" (USA) in terms of price, "Temodex" and "Prospidelong" are original (unique) drugs (Belarusian State University);

technology of electrolytic-plasma polishing of products made of nitinol and titanium. The technology is of interest to manufacturers of high-tech import-substituting medical products, used in cardiovascular and minimally invasive treatment methods. It is designed for polishing, descaling and cleaning products made of nitinol and titanium. Allows saving up to 40% of current costs for consumables required for the process of finishing the surface of products, even taking into account higher electricity costs for the electrolytic-plasma polishing process; the payback period for the finished equipment and technology is 1.5-2 years (Belarusian National Technical University);

hardware and software systems for ensuring electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of radio-electronic equipment. They are intended for analysis and ensuring EMC in local on-board and ground-based radio-electronic groups, generation of specifications for on-board and ground-based radio-electronic systems taking into account EMC requirements, modeling of radio reception in a complex electromagnetic environment, radio frequency planning, and assessment of electromagnetic ecology. The technologies and hardware and software systems are unique developments and have no analogues in the world (Educational Institution "Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics") .

During the exhibition, the participants of the collective section signed an Agreement on production and commercial cooperation between the unitary enterprise "Self-supporting pilot production of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus" and a company from Vietnam; 8 agreements on scientific and technical cooperation and 6 memorandums on scientific and technical cooperation.
