On August 13, 2025, the Republican Seminar on Invention, Rationalization and Engineering Creativity was held in the building of the Grodno Regional Scientific and Technical Library. The event was organized by the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support for the Scientific and Technical Sphere.

The purpose of the event was to train managers and specialists involved in scientific activities, to provide them with additional knowledge on the effective use of the potential of republican scientific organizations and structural divisions of enterprises both to increase the competitiveness of production and to create favorable conditions for inventors and innovators.

Olga Khvostova, Deputy Director of the State Institution "BelISA", addressed the participants of the seminar with a welcoming speech. She noted that the formation of a strong connection between science and business, as well as increasing the efficiency of commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities are of key importance for the sustainable development of the economy and the innovative potential of the country. She emphasized that the practice of holding such conferences and seminars is widespread in the world and contributes to improving the qualifications of specialists in the innovation infrastructure, teaching the basics of innovation management, and exchanging practical experience in implementing innovations in the real sector of the economy.

The following speakers gave presentations: member of the Expert and Methodological Council of the International Institute for TRIZ Development, speaker of the TRIZ Developers Summit, certified TRIZ specialist of the 2nd level (technical) Matriz official Elena Vintselovich, director of the unitary scientific and production enterprise Grodno House of Science and Technology Viktor Barsukov, head of the patent documentation and editing department of the National Center for Intellectual Property Alexander Mazanik, leading design engineer of Belcard OJSC Marat Kipnis, head of the laboratory of Belcard OJSC Dmitry Kurov, deputy head of the main department of technical progress and energy, state supervision of the technical condition of machines and equipment — head of the mechanization and operation department of the machine and tractor fleet of the Ministry of Agriculture Andrey Krupenya.

More than 70 representatives of enterprises, institutions and organizations subordinate to the ministries of agriculture, industry, education, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and the Belgospischeprom concern took part in the seminar.
