As BelTA was told in the department of international sci-tech links of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus /SCSTB/, establishments of higher education and research institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus are presenting their innovation projects and competitive products at the exhibition. They are demonstrating new products in the fields of energy supply, energy saving and effective energy consumption, new physical, chemical, biological and genetic production methods of new substances, nanomaterials and nanotechnologies, new medical, prevention and rehabilitation technologies, medical devices, electronic and laser-optic goods and industrial biotechnologies. A seminar-presentation “Scientific-technical products of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia for multilateral cooperation” will be held February 7 within the framework of the salon in the international scientific and technical information center. The seminar-presentation will be organized by the SCSTB, the national sci-tech information center of Kazakhstan, the association “Russian house of international sci-tech cooperation” and the international scientific and technical information center. It is not the first year that Belarus participates in this event, a SCSTB representative said. Over the years of its participation in the project Belarus has gained credibility as displayed by both the Moscow citizens and representatives of Russian regions. In 2006, at the VI Moscow International Salon of Innovations and Investments Belarusian products won 7 gold, 7 silver and 11 bronze medals as well as 25 diplomas. The Moscow salon is the biggest exhibition of scientific and technological achievements held in Russia. The main aim of the forum is to help inventors, designers and producers of high-tech products promote their products in the Russian as well as foreign markets, encourage business contacts, attract the attention of potential investors and clients to cutting-edge and promising pieces of technology. The exhibition covers almost all the branches of science including atomic and nuclear physics, chemistry and new materials, energy science, electric equipment, metrology, standardization, metallurgy, machine-engineering, medicine, bioengineering, transport, ecological security, food industry and agriculture.
