SKIF supercomputer, created by Belarusian and Russian scientists, is ready for mass production. It was stated after the state testing of the experimental sample of SKIF T-60 supercomputer. The testing was conducted in the Research Computer Centre of the Moscow State University on December 18, BelTA informs. “The testing was conducted successfully. Specialists accepted the supercomputer with some remarks and recommendations. It is ready for mass production,” Sergei Abramov, the Director of the Programme Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a research supervisor of the Belarus-Russia Union’s programme SKIFD-GRID, told reporters. In turn, State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Pavel Borodin underscored that SKIF supercomputer is a great stride forward. He also expressed hope that the scientists who work abroad in the computer area will come back home – to Belarus and Russia.
