The Day of the State Flag, State Emblem and National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus is celebrated in our country annually on the second Sunday of May.

In accordance with Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated March 26, 1998 No. 157 "On public holidays, public holidays and memorable dates in the Republic of Belarus," this holiday is one of the public holidays.

The National Flag, the National Emblem and the National Anthem are the symbols of our country as a sovereign state. Each modern state has its own symbols that express its political independence and independence, the history of formation and development, and national identity.

The wreath of golden rye ears depicted on the coat of arms, intertwined with clover and flax flowers, entwined with a red and green ribbon, embodies the best qualities of the Belarusian people — hard work, desire for freedom and patriotism. The red color on our flag is the color of the banners of the Red Army and the Belarusian partisans who liberated their native land from the fascist invaders. Green is the color of forests and fields, a symbol of spring, hope and rebirth. The white color of the ornament reflects the spiritual purity of Belarusians.

State symbols — the history and future of the Belarusian state, the embodiment of the idea of national unity, the most important attributes of the sovereignty and independence of the Fatherland.
