Belarus has approved a list of state scientific research programs for 2026–2030

By Resolution No. 555 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated October 9, 2025, a list of state scientific research programs for 2026–2030 was approved.

The list included 12 state scientific research programs:

  • "Energy-physical systems and technologies" ("Energophysics-2030");
  • "Chemical processes and technologies";
  • "Genomic, molecular and cellular technologies" ("Genome, molecule and cell");
  • "Intelligent information and space technologies, security of man, society and state";
  • "Photonics and Microelectronics"
  • "Mechanics, mechanical engineering, robotic, unmanned and intelligent systems";
  • "Modern materials science, advanced materials and new technologies";
  • "Rational use of natural resources";
  • "Interdisciplinary and synergetic research" ("Convergence 2030");
  • "Innovations in the agro-industrial complex"
  • "Experimental medicine and medical biotechnology";
  • "Socio-economic, political and national-cultural security of the Belarusian statehood."

For each program, the main objectives, government customers, lead implementing organizations, and funding volumes are defined.

The legal act was adopted in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus of October 21, 1996 No. 708-XIII "On Scientific Activity".

The resolution entered into force on October 11, 2025.
