Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology Tatyana Stolyarova and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of China Alexander Chervyakov discussed issues of scientific and technical cooperation with China.

During the online meeting, organizational issues related to the implementation of the Action Plan for the Years of Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China in the Field of Science, Technology and Innovation, approved by the governments of the two countries in August this year, were discussed. They also agreed on joint actions to implement priority measures for the development of promising cooperation in the scientific and technical sphere.

In addition, attention was paid to the organization of the next joint contest of scientific and technical projects.

As the Deputy Chairman of the SCST noted, active cooperation with the People's Republic of China made it possible to hold this competition in 2024.

In total, more than 160 projects were submitted for participation, which exceeds the number in the entire history of the competition. Based on the results of expert reviews in Belarus and China, the parties gave preference to 20 most significant projects for joint implementation in the fields of ICT, medicine, mechanical engineering, new materials, environmental management, chemistry and agro-industrial technologies.
