27.10.2023

On October 26, 2023, the director of the State Institution "BelISA" Natalya Pavlova took part in the press conference "On the Comprehensive Forecast of Scientific and Technological Progress of the Republic of Belarus for 2026-2030 and for the period until 2045," which was held at the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus.

She noted that "a comprehensive forecast of scientific and technological progress is a scientifically based idea of the scientific and technological development of Belarus in the context of international trends. More than 150 qualified specialists were involved in the development of a comprehensive forecast. By the list of forecasting objects we mean promising innovative technologies, goods and services, the appearance of which on the market in 2026-2030 and for the future until 2045 will provide competitive advantages to our country and ensure sustainable economic growth. The list of these technologies, goods and services was formed using the Delphi method — the method of expert assessments."

Qualified specialists from various fields acted as experts in the development of the NTP CP. These are not only representatives of science, but also representatives of the business community and republican government bodies. The expert groups were formed on a parity basis. The staff of specialists was agreed upon by all government bodies that were interested in developing a comprehensive forecast.

The project was formed in 22 forecasting areas (types of economic activity), taking into account their contribution to the GDP of Belarus for 15 sectors of the economy.

Interim results in the form of lists of forecast objects were sent for approval and addition to the relevant republican government bodies and state concerns.

"365 objects were included in the medium-term forecast section (the time of appearance of forecast objects on the market is 2026-2030). A long-term forecast has also been formed, which includes more than 400 objects, the time of appearance on the market is predicted until 2045," added the director of the State Institution "BelISA".
