The launch of the republican information and educational campaign "Belarus — an energy-efficient country" has been announced

From October 30 to November 11, 2024, the Department of Energy Efficiency of the State Standardization Committee of the Republic of Belarus is holding a republican information and educational campaign "Belarus — an energy-efficient country". It is timed to coincide with the International Energy Saving Day, which is celebrated annually on November 11.

The campaign is held in order to implement the provisions of the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus of June 14, 2007 No. 3 "On priority areas for strengthening the economic security of the state”, the Law of the Republic of Belarus of January 8, 2015 No. 239-3 "On energy saving".

The purpose of the campaign is to raise public awareness of the importance of efficient use of energy resources, possible ways and methods of saving them, including in everyday life and at home, which is a significant measure in improving the well-being of citizens and the economic growth of the country as a whole.

The Department's subordinate territorial bodies in regional centers and the city of Minsk will conduct informational and educational online lectures and seminars on relevant topics, and will also provide consultations on energy saving issues.

Information materials on the relevant topic are posted on the website of the Department of Energy Efficiency in the section "Popular information about energy saving/Useful tips", social videos on energy saving are on the official YouTube channel of the Department.
