09.04.2025

The grand final of the Republican youth project "100 ideas for Belarus" was held in the National Children's Technopark. This season is the 14th. Over the years of the project's implementation, almost 20,000 proactive Belarusians have taken part in it. More than 3,500 ideas have already been successfully implemented in the real sector of the economy. With each season, the competition is gaining momentum: in 2025, a record number of applications were submitted more than 1,300.
155 author's developments reached the final. Of these, 30 winners in 10 nominations were determined at a meeting of the republican expert council.
As the Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology Sergei Shlychkov noted during the final, the "100 Ideas for Belarus" project is the first stage of stimulating young people to innovative activities.
"This project has its role this is the very first stage of stimulating young people to innovative activity. Yes, most of the participants will not take a prize place, but they will gain valuable experience in structuring their project, its presentation, advertising and other aspects that accompany any innovative project," said Sergey Shlychkov.
He emphasized that the project is maximally focused on selecting not only the winners, but also other startups and ideas that may not reach the final for various reasons. "In 16 technology parks of the country, participants of various competitions, including "100 ideas for Belarus", can potentially receive resident status. The analogue of this selection is the Republican Competition of Innovative Projects this is the same central platform in the country as "100 ideas for Belarus", only at a higher level," the Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology noted. He added that all technology parks of the country set themselves the goal of selecting the most effective and high-tech projects so that they become their residents.
After selection, at a certain stage, the state helps pay for the development of business plans for further participation in the Republican Competition of Innovative Projects. "So, out of 63 winners or participants of "100 Ideas for Belarus", 12 received the right to develop a business plan at the expense of our financial support," added Sergei Shlychkov.
For the next five years, the state sets a goal to build the next stage and provide an opportunity, including with the help of the state, to implement the project of exiting the technopark. "This is already the next stage after the technopark, when small and medium businesses are ready to go on a large voyage. Now we are building all the organizational and legal mechanisms to ensure such an opportunity," said Sergey Shlychkov.
According to him, even today there are projects in the competition that are ready to go to the technology park, because the entire base of scientific research and development has already been carried out: there is a description of specific products and a description of technologies. The head of the State Committee on Science and Technology also emphasized that in some cases he would even advise to engage in the protection of intellectual property so that the rights to the idea remain with its owner.
The Republican youth project "100 ideas for Belarus" is implemented by the Belarusian Republican Youth Union together with the State Committee on Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Its main goal is to activate innovative thinking of young people, involve them in solving the problems of socio-economic development of the country, stimulate civil initiatives to implement innovative projects and scientific and technical developments.
