Opening of the exhibition dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War

On May 8, 2025, the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko ceremoniously opened the International Exhibition Center in Minsk. This day was the first day of the exhibition dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, at which, as part of the block on the achievements of the defense industry sector, the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus will present a collective section of scientific and technical developments.

According to the President, the International Exhibition Center should host a permanent exhibition of achievements of modern Belarus. This does not prevent thematic exhibitions from being held there, for example, Milex or Belagro. It is planned that the Eurasian Economic Forum will be among the first major international events to be hosted by the IEC in Minsk.

The Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Vladimirovich Shlychkov, was present at the grand opening of the exhibition center and the first exhibition in it, and one of the first visitors was the Deputy Chairman, Tatyana Grigoryevna Stolyarova.
