A Republican conference on current issues of implementing the provisions of Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 12 of April 9, 2025 "On the implementation of the foundations of the ideology of the Belarusian state" was held in Minsk.

Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee for Science and Technology Tatyana Stolyarova took part in the meeting.

The ideological vertical cannot work according to well-trodden approaches; key performance indicators for such work have been developed. This was stated to BelTA journalists by Vladimir Pertsov, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration.

He noted that over the past period, especially after the entry into force of Directive No. 12, approaches to organizing ideological work have been very closely analyzed.

"We want to draw the attention of those responsible for ideological work in the regions, in the industries. There is a bit of complacency, there is a desire to work along well-trodden tracks, which cannot be done. An ideologist must remain both a generator of meanings, and a conductor of meanings, and a teacher, and a wonderful lecturer," he noted.

An ideologist must also combine all these qualities when working in social networks, messengers, understanding the algorithms, how it works. Must be able to unite around himself an ideological asset, like-minded people — not only members of political parties and public associations, but all who have a sincere feeling of love for the Motherland, want to participate in socio-political, cultural and mass events, be useful. All these people should be drawn to the ideologist at the enterprise in a specific district, region, etc.

Ideological work according to Directive No. 12 applies to all business entities regardless of their form of ownership. Ideological workers, public associations, and political parties are given the opportunity to join these groups.
