Republican seminar on invention, rationalisation and engineering creativity

A national seminar on invention, rationalisation and engineering creativity was held in Grodno on 24 May 2023.

The event was attended by representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Ministries of Education, Industry, Economy, Defence, Communication and Informatization, Energy, Health, Internal Affairs, Agriculture and Food, Transport and Communications, Sports and Tourism, concern Belneftekhim, State Military Industrial Committee, National Intellectual Property Centre, Belarusian Society of Inventors and Innovators, Republican Scientific and Technical Library.

Deputy Director for International Scientific and Innovative Work of the State Institution "BelISA" addressed the participants of the seminar with welcoming speeches Olga Khvostova and Andrey Sosnovsky, Head of the Innovation Infrastructure Development, Commercialisation and Intellectual Property Department of the Innovation Policy Department of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus.

Gennady Anatolyevich Kozlov (manager of TRIZ educational programmes) and Mikhail Aleksandrovich Orlov (professor, PhD, author of TRIZ methodology, founder and head of Instrumental Modern TRIZ Academy) made a presentation on "Why do enterprises need TRIZ?

Alexander Mazanik, Head of the Department of Patent Documentation and Editing of the National Center of Intellectual Property, briefed the participants on the procedure for filing and maintaining an application for an invention patent.

Oleg Vladislavovich Malakhov, Chief Technologist at Lidskoe Beer, shared his experience in implementing the kaizen movement at Lidskoe Beer.

The deputy chairperson of the methodological council on the development of practical manuals on organizational and normative-methodological support of the development of rationalization activity in the Republic of Belarus, member of the Republican Council of the Public Association "Belarusian Society of Inventors and Innovators" Larisa Pavlovna Ladik answered the questions of the participants of the workshop.

The results of the workshop's problem-solving competition using the theory of inventive problem-solving were summed up. The active participants were awarded certificates and commemorative prizes.
