The 14th season of the youth project "100 ideas for Belarus" has started

The official ceremony of the launch of the new season of the national youth project "100 ideas for Belarus" was held at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The project is organized by the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, the State Committee for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The ceremony was attended by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Alexander Lukyanov, Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology Sergei Shlychkov, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov, Deputy Minister of Education Ekaterina Petrutskaya, young scientists, representatives of the largest higher education institutions in the country, research institutes and centers, as well as the organizers of the project.
"The 100 Ideas for Belarus competition is already a brand for young scientists in our country. It is important that the quality of projects implemented by our contestants improves in the Year of Quality. Therefore, the organizing committee decided to organize a separate nomination for the quality of development and implementation of ideas in the real sector of the economy. Today we are giving a symbolic start to the competition. We want our contestants to demonstrate their knowledge," said Alexander Lukyanov, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly.
He noted that schoolchildren, students, and working youth are participating in the competition. "Representatives of both academic and university science are participating. This year, the quota for the number of contestants sent by the Ministry of Education has been expanded. Together with the State Committee for Science and Technology and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, a request was made to the leading flagship enterprises of our country, ministries and departments and they sent a list of topics that interest them most of all. Such information needs to be constantly updated. You know how quickly science and innovative technologies are developing, and inquisitive young minds should offer those developments that will improve the competitiveness of the economy," noted the First Secretary of the Central Committee of BRSM.
The 100ideas.by website will be accepting applications for potential participants until November 20. They can be young people (a team of up to three authors) aged 14 to 31 years and young scientists (institutions of higher education, organizations subordinate to the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, engaged in scientific research) until they reach the following age: Doctor of Science up to 40 years old, Candidate of Science, an employee without a degree who has received higher education, a postgraduate student, a master's student up to 35 years old.
The new season of the project "100 Ideas for Belarus" is planned to be implemented in four rounds: the first is informational (until November 20), the second is selection (selection of applications, educational startups, district and zonal selections (until December 20), the third involves the organization of regional, Minsk city exhibitions and presentations, as well as the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Education (until January 31, 2025), the fourth is the republican final (until April 30, 2025).
In the 14th season of the project, three age groups of participants have been identified. The expert council will select three winners in each of ten nominations from among students of general secondary, vocational and secondary specialized education institutions; students, cadets; working youth, young scientists, representatives of institutions and organizations subordinate to the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus:
Energy, including nuclear energy, and energy efficiency;
Agro-industrial technologies and farming;
Industrial and construction technologies;
Healthcare (medical technologies, pharmacy, bio and nanoindustry;
Chemical technologies, petrochemistry;
Information and communication technologies (including intelligent systems and automation, smart cities and eco-sustainability, digital medicine, information technologies in education, technologies for social inclusion, digital ethics and cybersecurity;
Ecology (preservation and restoration of the natural environment, rational (sustainable) use of natural resources and their reproduction, prevention of harmful impacts on the environment);
National security and emergency protection;
Society and social sphere;
The best business idea.
BRSM first announced the launch of the republican youth competition "100 Ideas for Belarus" in September 2011. Over the years, the project has not only found reliable partners, but has also become a brand of the Youth Union, popularizing science and forming the image of a scientist as a successful person.
