Republican Seminar on invention, innovation and Engineering creativity

On October 30, Gomel hosted a republican seminar on invention, innovation and engineering creativity. The event was organized by the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the state institution "Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support of the Scientific and Technical Sphere".

In accordance with the State Program of Innovative Development of the Republic of Belarus for 2021-2025, in order to accelerate the development of invention, innovation and engineering creativity in the republic, the state faces the task of improving the training and popularization of invention, innovation and engineering creativity. One of the mechanisms of its solution is the organization of training events on effective methods of engineering and technical creativity (including the theory of inventive problem solving), as well as the formation of knowledge, skills and competencies in the field of innovation.

The seminar covers the basics of engineering creativity and creating intellectual property in technology, helping startups, as well as the difficulties of implementing innovations. The procedure for patenting inventions and the main methods of conducting patent search are discussed.

The Gomel branch of the Republican Scientific and Technical Library presents the activities of the Technology and Innovation Support Center, and also organizes an exhibition of literature on the subject of the event.

The seminar was attended by more than 100 representatives of enterprises, institutions and organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Belneftekhim and Bellegprom concerns, Gosstandart and other interested parties.
