22.04.2025

During the meeting between Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus Tatyana Stolyarova and Deputy Director General of the Commission on Science and Technology of Shanghai Chen Hongkai, issues of expanding cooperation between scientific, research, educational and innovative organizations of Belarus and China, and holding joint scientific and technical events were discussed. An agreement was reached to sign a regulatory legal document on cooperation.

Particular attention is paid to the preparation of the participation of the Republic of Belarus as a guest country in the 18th Pujiang Innovation Forum, which will be held from September 20 to 23, 2025 in Shanghai.

The Pujiang Innovation Forum has been held regularly since 2008 and is one of the largest platforms in China for discussing issues of scientific, technological and innovative development. The organizers of the forum are the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Shanghai. The main theme of the forum is "Exchange of Innovations and Shaping the Future". More than 20 thematic forums and exhibitions are planned on its sidelines, with over 65 thousand participants from different countries.

Belarus will present an exposition of advanced domestic achievements in science and technology at the forum. A Chinese-Belarusian cooperation forum is also planned. The status of a guest country creates favorable conditions and expands opportunities for presenting the country's potential and finding new foreign partners.
