National Exhibition of the Republic of Belarus "Belarus-2006" in Samara

According to the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of 19 January, 2006 N 58 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade and Belarussian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the Ministry of Economic Development, Investments and Trade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Samara region carried out a National Exhibition of Belarus during the period of 12-15 July, 2006 in Samara (Russian Federation) at the Exhibition Centre of Alabin’s Museum. The purpose of the event is to activate cooperation between Belarus and Samara Region in economic and trade sphere, and also in the field of science and technologies. Production and developments of  more than 50 enterprises and organizations of the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Ministry of Education, National Academy of Sciences, “Bellegprom” Concern, etc. have been presented on the area of about 1000 sq. m.

 The Exhibition has been opened by Mr. S. Subbotin, Chief of Department of foreign economic relations of the Ministry of Economy, Investments and Trade of Samara Region; Mr. V. Pervakov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Power of Samara Region; Mr. V. Noskov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Samara Region; Mr. Y. Tikhonov, Vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Samara Region; Mr. A. Sokolovski, Deputy Director of "BelInterExpo” of the Belarussian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

   

The State Committee for Science and Technologies of the Republic of Belarus (SCS&T) together with BelISA has been a collective organizer of the R&D section at the Exhibition. This section took the area of 80 sq. ì where 15 organizations of the Ministry of Education and National Academy of Sciences demonstrated their achievements.

The officials who participated in the opening ceremony visited the SCS&T’s stand and familiarized with developments exposed there. In total, more than 170 developments were on display in the field of biotechnologies, oil prospecting and extracting, mechanical engineering and metal working, laser engineering, information technologies, construction, medicine, ecology, food and light industry, and agriculture. The exhibits were represented in the form of natural samples, presentations, tablets, and information materials such as advertising sheets and ÑDs.  

The exposition of the Ministry of Education was pided into 2 parts: stand of the Belarussian State University and collective stand of the other institutions of higher education.  Basic sub-pisions of the exposition are as follows: strengthening technologies; technologies of materials processing; technology of finish processing; industrial heating elements, equipment and tools for diesel engines of automobiles; foundry technologies; medical equipment and new technologies in medicine; new materials, including ceramic polymeric materials with special properties; equipment for chemical and food-processing industry; new chemical technologies; new technologies, equipment and materials for textile industry; systems of protection of verbal information and new protective materials.

The activities of the members of delegation of the Ministry of Education were carried out in the following manner:

  • the activities on the stand together with the other members of Belarussian delegation;
  • meetings and negotiations with potential clients and partners;
  • search for potential consumers of S&T products;
  • partner search for realization of marketing research and S&T products transfer in the markets of Samara and other regions of Russia.

In the framework of the Exhibition 3 protocols on intentions were signed.

49 exhibits were demonstrated at the stand of the Belarusian State University in the following areas: petroleum industry; computer-guided means of measurement, microwave components, equipment for manufacture of heat saving products, control system of technological processes, protection of environment, ecology (technologies, technique, substances and materials), technologies and substances for agriculture, additives for food-processing industry and cosmetology, public health services (new materials, technologies, equipment), new materials and protective substances, technology of chemical and electrochemical drawing of thin functional metal coverings on various surfaces.

In the framework of the Exhibition BSU delegation conducted more than 10 meetings and negotiations with representatives of various companies and organizations of the region.  

Representatives of the United Institute of Solid State Physics and Semiconductors of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus exhibited 94 S&T developments of their Institute in the field of technical ceramics, semi-conductor electronics, composite materials, medicine, mechanical engineering, etc. Practically all developments have caused interest of the visitors.

The Institute of Technology of Metals of the NAS presented its basic developments and S&T achievements, such as: technology and equipment of continuous horizontal castling of bronze, cast iron and aluminium rods, technology of continuous  cyclic castling by freezing method, technological process of getting of aluminium alloys with increased durability, methods of mathematical modeling of foundry processes, technology of electro slag and centrifugal castling  of biometals, technology of art castling.

The SCS&T, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and organizations-exhibitors have been awarded with the diplomas of the Belarussian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Samara Region for active participation in the activities of the Exhibition.
