Republican seminar on issues of invention, rationalization and engineering and technical creativity (October 30, 2024, Gomel)

On October 30, a Republican seminar on issues of invention, rationalization and engineering creativity was held in Gomel, organized by the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Institute of Systems Analysis and Information Support for the Scientific and Technical Sphere.

The purpose of the seminar is to increase the inventive level and innovative activity of developers and manufacturers of scientific and technical products by teaching modern methods of solving inventive problems of various levels and exchanging experience in organizing rationalization activities at enterprises.

In accordance with the State Program for Innovative Development of the Republic of Belarus for 2021-2025, the state faces the task of improving the work on training and popularization of invention, rationalization and engineering and technical creativity. One of the mechanisms for solving it is the organization of training events on effective methods of engineering and technical creativity (including the theory of solving inventive problems), as well as knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies in the field of rationalization.

The seminar covered the fundamentals of engineering creativity and the creation of intellectual property in technology, assistance to startups, and the complexities of implementing innovations. The procedure for patenting inventions and the main methods of conducting a patent search were discussed.

The Gomel branch of the Republican Scientific and Technical Library presented the activities of the Technology and Innovation Support Center, and also organized an exhibition of literature on the topic of the event.

The report "Difficulties of implementing innovations" was presented by the Chairman of the Republican Council of the public association "Belarusian Society of Inventors and Innovators", an expert in the field of TRIZ (theory of inventive problem solving) Kozlov Gennady Anatolyevich.

Fundamentals of Engineering Creativity

Associate Professor, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of Internal Combustion Engines of the Automobile and Tractor Faculty of the Belarusian National Technical University, Mikhail Petrovich Ivandikov, spoke about the basics of creating intellectual property in technology and helping startups.

Alexander Aleksandrovich Mazanik, Head of the Patent Documentation and Editing Department of the National Intellectual Property Center, spoke about the procedure for patenting inventions in the Republic of Belarus and patent search.

The issue of the activities of the Center for Support of Technologies and Innovations of the Gomel Regional Scientific and Technical Library was covered by the consultant of the Center for Support of Technologies and Innovations, Svetlana Anatolyevna Magonova.



The seminar was attended by over 100 representatives of enterprises, institutions and organizations subordinate to the ministries of industry, health, agriculture and food, education, transport and communications, sports and tourism, the National Academy of Sciences, the Belneftekhim and Bellegprom concerns, the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship, the Gomel Regional Scientific and Technical Library, the Brest Regional and City Executive Committees, the Lyakhovichi District Executive Committee, public associations "Belarusian Engineering Society" and "Belarusian Society of Inventors and Innovators", the Modern TRIZ Academy (Germany), residents of science and technology parks, and other interested parties.



As a continuation of the series of seminars on similar topics, a seminar is planned to be held in Minsk on December 11, 2024.
