Information Day on development of international S&T cooperation with the EU in the areas of environment and energy (Minsk, 16 September 2008)

 
On 16 September 2008 the State Committee for Science and Technologies of Belarus together with BelISA and FP7 National Information Point are going to carry out in Minsk an Information Day on development of the international S&T cooperation with the EU in the areas of environment and energy. It will be held with participation of the leading experts on organization of international cooperation within FP7 from EU member states and associated countries.
 
The event is supported by the European Commission within the FP7 project “S&T International Cooperation Network for Eastern European and Central Asian Counties”, INCONet EECA, http://www.inco-eeca.net.
 
The purpose of the seminar is assisting Belarusian researchers in the international S&T cooperation with the EU in the areas of power and environment, including climate changes.
 
The tasks of the event are as follows:
  1. Informing the participants about the topics of the FP7 calls for projects of 2009 in thematic priorities “Energy" and “Environment” which will be announced in September, 2008;
  2. Analyzing the areas of activities of Belarusian R&D organizations in focus areas with the purpose of revealing those of the topics which local organizations could join;
  3. Informing participants about the rules and the order of participation in 2009 FP7 calls, and also about the tools and services which can help them to join consortia in the topics of their interest;
  4. Sharing experience and best practice among Belarusian R&D organization on FP project preparation and realization. 
 
For participation in the Infoday the active and potential INCO organizers and partners are invited. The seminar is to be held in the large conference hall of “Belarus” Hotel, 15 Storozchevskaya str., Minsk. Registration starts at 9.00 am. The seminar begins at 10.00 am. Participation is free-of-charge.
 
The preliminary registration is carried out till 9 September 2008. You have to send the application form filled in to smirnova@belisa.org.by  with a note “INCO Seminar” (Svetlana Smirnova).
